I believe so. President Hugo Chavez. Large oil exporter. Western media portrays him as an evil dictator, however from the videos I have seen of him he is nothing of this sort. But about that, you tell me.

YES... they have a new currency and are now on Central standard time and a half... they are offset from Central Time Zone in the U.S. by 1/2 hour.

I know that Hugo Chavez is a grandstanding leftist (look at his BS rescue farce in Colombia) who screens his own desire for absolute power with gobbledegook messages to the people and promises he can never fully fulfill.

Chavez will bankrupt Venezuela and in short order, Venezuela will as poor as Cuba.

Yes, although I haven't returned to Venezuela since 2003. The best place I've seen there is Puerto Cabello in Morrocoy, the best beaches I've seen in the world!

I know a lot about Venezuela. It is a beautiful country. I know Maracaibo & Caracas as well as i know Managua (capital city in Nicaragua, where i live). I visit Venezuela a lot since i work in the Government of Nicaragua and i have to travel much.
