ok, im just wondering, who was better. bernard hopkins in middleweight, or floyyd mayweather? i always wanted to see those to fight. who would of won if somehow hopkins didnt gain weight and move all the way to light heavyweight? if they had both stayed in middleweight it would of been a h**l of a fight. anyway, in your opinion who is the better boxer overall??

Hopkins is to big, to strong for Floyd! Floyd was a lightweight and has gone up to welterweight 147lbs. He's never fought at middleweight!!! Hopkins originally was a great middleweight  160lbs. Eventually a Lightheavyweight champ! There are reasons for weight classes. Mayweather won a hard fought dec against De la Hoya. Hopkins Ko'd him with a body shot!

Both are great fighters in their respective weight classes. A good big man beats a good small man.

Hopkins could possibly hurt him permanently!

Money May was better. More exciting (but then again, anyone is more exciting than Ol' Popkins), and made more chedda. A fight between the two would never have happened, though. Money May would have had to go up to 160, and Hopkins come down. Hopkins is way bigger, and would beat Floyd.

its hard to say because both fighters have a way of making the person they are fighter to dumb down their skills, Hopkins is a methodical fighter an very defensive Floyd Is more flashey it would be an intresting fight one i have spent hours thinking about and it could in anydirection but i think that it would go the distance maybe even a draw
