01111 keeps ringing me but there's no one at the other end?

im with virgin media. Is there anyway i can block this number? I believe its a call centre of some kind.

this is a FAKE number as there is no dialling code with 01111 (nearest is 01118). if its only got the 5 digits its probably Virgin trying to sell you something..

there is a code you can subscribe to on your touch tone phone services that allows you to block numbers (at a cost)

plus you could try TPS but in my experience it doesn't work for not UK call centre who glibly tell you they don't have to comply with it

Capital Finance are trying to contact you.  Call their main switchboard  (0116 2713772) to remove you details from their database.

Have you registered with the Telephone Preference Service? They can stop a lot of sales calls coming through. It's possible you're being called from an automated dialer. These things are a pain on the backside

it does sound a bit odd....we `ve been getting phone calls, when you answer the phone there`s no one there,,,,,we try ringing 1471, and it just goes dead, the line....really annoying. Do what we sometimes do, just let your answer phone take the message, i`m sure friends and family will understand if you explain to them, why you don`t answer straight away........
