02 Liberty with Infinity?

I want to replace my radio in my Jeep liberty, it says infinity, is thos going to cause a problem? And will it sound okay if I keep my fatory speakers? How do I keep my steering wheel controls too?

In your liberty, it is not required for you to bypass an amp or do anything special to just put a radio in your car. It is a standard kit and harness for this year, just be sure to hook up your remote turn-on wire (blue).

You can retain your steering wheel controls by buying a steering wheel module from Pac-audio. This one works really well if you buy an alpine with the wired remote input on the back. You can grab the wire for the steering wheel controls in the ign harness.

If you want to replace your speakers, you are going to need to bypass the factory amp. You'll find the amp attached to the front door speakers. The amp has all the speaker wires for the front speakers, the dash speakers and the rear as well. You will have to cut the harness off and loop them directly.
