how common is it to have to replace the brake calipers on an 02 spec-v. i had to replace the rear last summer and now it seems that the front passenger may be seized...i have never seen a caliper seize on any car before this one, it seems like this car is absolute pile of **** with everything ive experienced and reading stuff from other owners.

  1. Did you change your brake fluid every brake pad service? did you change the brake fluid at all? With your new calipers change the fluid every 30,000 or 3 years. I change my brake fluid every 18 months. Or each time I take my car to the race track. If the caliper pins are seized from road salt and corrosion that happens. More antiseeze and grease next time. Most of the time you can prevent caliper problems by taking the pins out and regreasing and pushing the pistons in and by changing the fluid. In Texas very little need to salt the roads so calipers almost never fail down here unless you drive on the beach.

  2. My sister owns one, and having same problem. I convinced her to go with ksport brake kit. I'm not saying you should do the same, but you will probable continue to have problems unless you go with something else.
