When getting in to my 03 E320 if I brush up against the steering wheel I get blue from the leather (pacific blue leather). Is there an affordable way to fix this? Cleaning does not seem to help. It is equipped with the heated wheel and while it only has 46000 miles shows wear from the previous owner.

  1. The best way to stop leather bleed from the steering wheel is to go to a custom interior shop and ask them to treat it with a clear leather sealing solution. This solution is almost like a clear while on polyurethane for leathers. This may darken the pigment slightly, but when done properly, it will seal tanned leather. I also belive that there are some Scotch Guard products that will have the same affect, but I am not that aware of them. I ended up replaceing my E320 waggon steering wheel and gear shift with salvage parts and the car looks showroom new!
