04 grand cherokee wont stay running

Question

ok it will start and run for 3 seconds and cut off. no matter what i do it cuts off at the same time 3 seconds. 4.0 v 6 what could i do to diagnose the problem??

My 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee did that 2 times, both times at my daughters house. Called the Jeep dealer and had it hauled in. 1st time they did not find nothing, but when they did something to the computer everything went to working right.

After that 1st time it did it again about 4 months later at the very same place, oh, my wife was driving it both times, hauled it back in, there was something wrong with the security system and they had to have both keys to do some reprogramming. It was under warranty and there was no charge. That has been about 3 or 4 years back and its never done it again.

Most problems such as this it best to let the dealer fix them.
