  1. Ask the TECHS @ your local Suzuki store-They'll know if they have problems with them, or not **DO NOT** ask the sales staff !!- They will just tell you ( if they have one on the lot to sell) how much BETTER they are over water-cooled-If they don't have one to sell, they'll tell it's a constant problem, come here and buy THIS bike- It's the one for you !! lmfao( 'cuz it's true !!)

  2. and again, why do you want a katana? so other riders will make fun of you?

    dont waste the time.....

  3. Most of the older bikes did not have a radiator and I never heard of a problem with them overheating.  If you decide to purchase that bike I would be sure not to let it idle for long periods of time in extreme heat.

  4. air cooled engines have proven themselves reliable for about as long as motorcycles or even engines themselves have been around. Air cooled engines and bikes have been around for way longer than the liquid cooled bikes. Its a very proven and reliable design. They arent normaly as high performance as the liquid cooled engines but they get the job done. You have to be in some pretty serious heat doing alot of sitting around to do any damage or have any problems. Katana's are also very proven successful reliable bikes.

  5. a 06 suzuki katana 600 would be fine in texes it wont over heat unless u just let it run for about 15 mins with out moving

  6. didn't you just ask this?

    no. it will be fine...

and i wouldn't even ask the techs at suzuki.. for all you know they have ad eal with the salesfloor to try and push more expensive vheicles which liquid cooled just happens to be.
