please don't answer this if you dont know what im talking about. Thanks : )

Question --> Whats the deal with the squared off nose and tail on the 153 Lib Tech Travis Rice Magnatraction? I hit decent size booterz and kinda all mountain with a little jibbing here and there. Is this squared off nose and tail more for jibbing? Is it going to effect my buttering, like without that tip. Also will it effect my boost or landings off sketchy icey death??

I want to buy this gangster stick but im skeptical about the crazy oldskool square nose and tail>!?

  1. I ride the 07 version of the board and it has the same thing.  As far as I can tell the difference is mostly cosmetic.  Butters and stuff aren't really affected as they don't really take off enough material to make a difference at all.

The only disadvantage is that the tip and tail is a lot more susceptible to getting damaged since it is flat and will take the full brunt of any impact.

Other than that it is a sweet sweet board.

  2. I dont really know what advantage there is to having the squared off nose and tail is. But ive heard that that board comes in two shapes a more traditional type shape for all mountain freestyle and the blunt type shape for more park riding. Lib Tech are truely snowboard pioneers probably more than any other company at the moment. I think they are the ones that came up with the whole magnatraction thing which could well revolutionise snowboarding. Ive never ridden a Lib Tech Travis Rice but if its good enough for him its gonna be good enough for you and me. You should go for it if youve got the cash, Good Luck.
