How much weight am I expected to lose per month on a 1,300/day calorie diet??

Here's the schedule:

AM:

1 cup coffee w/ 3 creamers

2-3 cups chopped pineapple

1 banana

Lunch:

1 small bean & cheese burrito

Dinner:

1 Salmon fillet

Snacks:

3 hardboiled eggs

Drinks:

5+ Aquafina bottled water

1276 calories

34 g fat

13 g sat

1436 sod

118 carb

  1. Depends on how much exercise you do and how strict you are on your diet.

    You're not getting enough veggies in ;)

  3. You need to burn 3,500 calories a week to lose one pound, so thats 500 calories a day, so if you eat around 250 calories less, and burn off 250 calories more you should have able to lose around 4.5 pounds or more in 1 month.

    Your diet looks good, except there aren't any whole grains or vegetables.

    Also, breakfast should not be all fruit. Fruit is still sugar, which requires a large amount of insulin for digestion, and is stored as fat if not used as energy right away. Unless you are working out after you consume all of that fruit, then you really should replace some of the fruit with a low-calorie option like a slice of whole grain toast or a bowl of oatmeal.
