  1. A = 1/2 h (b1 + b2)

    <--- you need an equation, not an expression, to solve

    <--- I took an educated guess as to what the equation should be :-)

    h = 2A (b1 + b2)


  2. Area = (1/2)h * (b1+b2)

    Move everything, so that h is alone on one side

    2*area = h*(b1+b2)

    (2*area) / (b1+b2) = h

    This is called isolating the variable


  3. It can't be done. There is nothing to solve for.

    I think you left out the equals sign and whatever goes to the right of it.
