Is it worth getting the 106 1.4 Quicksilver?

Can anyone share their thoughts or any reviews please, Thanks

  1. The 106 Quicksilver is actually a good deal.

    The engine is a 1398cc psa engine which means lower insurance costs for the younger or no experience driver. But at the same time uses the body styling of the vtr or vts. I beileve saxo (same car) did the west coast the same, lower engine vtr styling. So a popular choice for the youngester wanting the look of a quick super mini but not the insurance that goes with it.

    Saxo parts interchangable which is handy as they seem to be slightly cheaper.

    Miles per gallon must be 35-42 which isnt bad for petrol injection.

    Throttle cable was a major design fault on the 106 and saxo so dont be scared if the one you buy has had a few in the past. Peugeot now offer a beefier replacement to cure the problem.

    Original exhaust was useless with majpr rust probs but with the age of the 106 now should have been replaced long back - but still check it when viewing.

    Over all a nice little car though.
