  1. X = bits per second

    Y = bytes per second

    There are 8 bits in a byte so

    X / 8 = Y

    assuming 1.5k = 1,500 then

    1,500 / 8 = 187.5

    1,500 megabits per second = 187.5 megabytes per second

    [edit] Bonus tip:

    Google can do conversions.  e.g. to convert megabits to megabytes, like in your question, you would search Google for "1500 megabits to megabytes".

    Most conversions are supported, e.g. "3 liters to cups" or "20 yards to feet" or "65 miles per hour to kilometers per hour" etc.

    You can also use this feature from your cell phone by sending a text message with the search to "466453" (GOOGLE)
