So I want to try out for 1 877 214 0770 aka A.C.T. What this number is, is the phone number for a acting audition. Some people said that there a scam, buthow do you know? Then some othe people said that they auditioned and they had soooo much fun. Is it a scam?

Also I heard at the end of the audtion the winner has to buy a agent for 5,000 dolles, is there any way to make sure there not a scam before giving them the money?

Alsooooo.... If they say to go on Sunday or something, do they make you pay for auditioning? And do they ask for your credt card number?

I already called them and said I want to audition they said theyll call me when they get to my state... The only things that said was what my moms name was, our phone number, and where we found out about them.

Last thing, people told me that tey found out about them on Radio Disney, 94.5 beat. In the mail, Nickelodian, Disney Channel, does this say that this is not a scam?

  1. If they are asking for you to give money upfront (Without getting an acting job) than they are a scam. An acting agency never ask for money before becoming your agent. They will look at your resume and headshot, see what you have to offer (you will most likely sing a song and perform a monologue in their office) and accept you if they are interested in representing you. Then you will sign a contract for them to become your agent. But NEVER should you pay for anything during this time. Never buy headshots from them or pay to audition. There are a lot of scams out there that are hoping to prey on those who want to be famous. It's a rough business. It sounds like this is just another scam, unfortunately. The only reason you should ever pay your agent is if they find you a job, you get paid for the position, and even then they only take so much out of your paycheck for their services. I recommend researching talent agencies in your area and see what the better business bureau says about their company, but also check to see what comes up when you type in the agencies on google. A lot of times fellow actors will give this talent agency a good or bad rating, and you can tell from the information if it is a scam.
