Hi, i saw a server case that has 2 reset buttons.

Reset 1 for system 1, and reset 2 for system 2.

So, it is possible to make 2 system in 1 CPU server.

My question is, what for ? and how to make it ?

Can i put 2 system in 1 hard drive and both run together ? and can i reset one of them ?

It is interesting for me to learn it.

thanks

  1. It depends on exactly what you mean by a "server case".  There are things out there, generally called server racks, that are designed specifically to hold multiple "systems".  Usually just motherboard, processor, RAM, sometimes different hard drives.  These are generally very large though.  Maybe 2.5-3 feet across and anywhere from 6 in - 12 feet tall, with LOTS of fans :)

If it's about the size of a regular desktop computer case, then you probably can't fit multiple units in it.

However, a great tool to recently hit the market, is virtualization software to do exactly what you describe.  Use one machine to run multiple "computers".  It's pretty useful and neat.
