  1. im not sure if this is what your talking about but ive been told that you can use the power box from an old computer to run power to your amp from a wall outlet, i havnt tried this yet but ive been tempted

  2. 1. an amp can be run at a maximum of 12-16v.

    2. yes if you by a power inverter you can conect it into your house (mostly used by CB radio enfusiasts) if you look in a radio shop they will be able to help.

or a method i have used befor is:

by a power adapter that is normaly used for walkmans and things like that they normally come with a dial on to to select the voltage (ie. 3v, 4.5v, 6v, 12v)

you normally get supplyed different size connectors that push on the end depandant on the hole that you plug them into (dont worry about these as you wont need them)

cut the conector of the end and expose the wires ( you know have a + & - wire that you can attach straight to your amp using the s***w's and plates)

using a second pice of wire (any grade, i normally use speaker wire) and loop it from the + to the remote therefor creating your remote that turns the amp on when you turn your power adapter on.

conect your sub and and plug it into your stereo. and there you go your sub in you house (turn it up and really annoy the neighbours)
