Great question!

There are many ways of sending out energy. Think of someone that needs help RIGHT this moment. Perhaps someone who is sick or someone who is having money problems. Now that you have them in mind wish them well. Congrats! You just sent them good energy.

To do more focused work you might want to use Tools. A great and Witchy item you can use is a candle. They are a beautiful tool. So hold the candle, annoint it appropriately if you want and think of the person who you are sending energy to. if it helps you can write their name on a piece of paper and write down what you want them to have. Healing energy, or more money or perhaps just protective energy for a trip they are doing. Hold the paper between your hands and THAT is your first focus tool. THen light the candle and do the same with it. if you want you can put the piece of paper under the candle or you can burn it in the flames for more privacy if you  have nosey people around :P. Those are tools you used to focus on someone.
