  1. The main reason for the worsening economy in CA is that the population has exploded on the last few years.  If the population growth doesn't slow down, (or preferably stop) California will be totally bankrupt.  Schools and health facilities are being forced to close because they don't have the financial resources to meet the growing demands.  The nation as a whole, is in a deep recession regardless of how His Highness Bush disagrees.  Natural disasters that have plagued the country have also put us in a hole along with rising gas prices.  It's wake up time.  We can't continue this way much longer or go under as a powerful nation.  Rex

  2. I think it is getting worse but from what I have seen its not bad like the depression or anything..people are just pissed that they can afford to buy their drive thru starbucks and ride around with their blue tooth and mercedes.

If you ask me, people are pissed because they can't be materialistic

  3. The economy isn't really bad right now. Unemployment is still lower than it has been in the past and the same with inflation. The economy is getting better and there isn't anything to worry about.

  4. the economy is getting worse across the united states... the unemployment rate in the country is higher than its been in decades... bush has destroyed this countries economy with the war and we are in desperate need of an efficient president to pcik the country back up... the economy is not likely to get better any time soon because businesses are outsourcing and employing people in india etc, however, this means that rather than returning money to the us economy, all of the money in the us is being sent overseas......

  5. I agree with George S. and his response which is right on the mark especially considering the fact, that if you are highly skilled, you will never feel the unemployment or layoff pinch.  If you have a major trade (not academically based), you will ride the current gloom in the economy.  Again, the best industries to be employed in are medical, legal, computers and aircraft maintenance.

    Good luck!

  6. California?  h***s fire!  The economy sucks all over the USA!
