1.)Drastically downsize the government and government spending:

once that is accomplished, balance the budget, once debt is paid off, cut taxes. Push for Congress to make pork barrel spending illegal, do not sign any laws that contain this spending.

2.)Review free trades through a joint Executive & Congressional Committee to know which ones are benefitting and which are hurting the economy. Act on the results.

3.) Close the borders. Heavily fine buisnesses that hire illegally immigrants to the point that it is not worth it for these buisnesses to hire the illegals. Create a guest worker program where these workers will pay taxes, have an I.D, opt in SS but not recieve benefits, and require them to recieve minimum wage.

4.) End the God-awful subsidies to gas companies for using Ethanol. It's not helping anything and is just driving up food prices worldwide.

5.) Allocate money for a federal program that gives subsidies to people who want to create small buisnesses that have the potential to help the economy.

6.) End welfare. Create a safety net that gives a one or two time sum to maintain lifestyle for a period of time. Create a program that helps people to find jobs they are qualified in.

7.) Tax breaks to major companies that keep jobs in the United States as an incentive to keep jobs from going abroad.

8.)Decrease immigration. Only allow qualified people in the United States for jobs that needed to be filled and allow those in who have the potential to better America. Get rid of the lottery system.

9.)Import drugs from countries such as Canada that can be trusted and will allow for more competition thus lowering the price for prescription drugs.

10.) Give tax breaks (rather than subsidies.) to companies who create USEFUL alternate energy means.

11.) Invest in nuclear energy.  Europe is using a lot more nuclear energy than the United States, it is enviromentally friendly and it is a long term solution.

yeah economics issue (subprime mortgage etc), middle east war, re- vision and mission about international diplomatic and fix some policies about poor people (homeless, jobless etc) so with all of that america automatically could have a better image in international forum

The defense of this country would be my number one priority.  Second would be to insure that this country could be self reliant on energy.   That would include drilling NOW and working to develop other sources of energy at the same time.

Health care hands down and as important, our dependence on fossil fuel.  More drilling is not the answer, it's only a band-aid.  I choose not to live in fear of terrorists, there have always been terrorists, there will always be terrorists.  This is not a war we will one day declare victory and be done with it.  Our nation is in a health care crisis and that needs to be addressed immediately.

The fact that the government has exceeded the limitations imposed on it by the Constitution.

So, I'd never have gotten elected in the first place. Most Americans don't care that the government has assumed authorities never granted to it by the Constitution.
