  1. Nominal value is what one share would be worth based upon the worth of a company (add up all assets, subtract all liabilities and divide by the number of shares).  Issue price is what the share first sells for when it goes IPO...this can be more or less than the nominal value (if the company thinks it will grow quickly, the issue price may be higher than the nominal value)
