  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_varia...

"A 2006 study and review of existing literature, published in Nature, determined that there has been no net increase in solar brightness since the mid 1970s, and that changes in solar output within the past 400 years are unlikely to have played a major part in global warming."

  2. 1)  The sun's mass is not homogeneous.  Differences in materials and temperatures within the sun cause currents (think of it as a big ball of liquid fire), altering it's output.

    2)  Yes.  The sun has several, well-established output cycles that affect the earth.

To linlyons:  "...no net increase in solar brightness..."....the sun produces a little more than the visible light spectrum...do a little more research.

  3. Scientists only have 'Theories' about the sun.  So far they believe they have a handle on predicting 'Sunspots' - however their predictions on the start of solar cycle 24 have missed.

You can monitor the Sun and all it's outputs here:

Interesting information about 'Solar Winds' and their associated 'Interplanetary Magnetic Fields' which seem to be increasing:

    http://spaceweather.com/glossary/imf.htm...

"Earth has a magnetic field, too. It forms a bubble around our planet called the magnetosphere, which deflects solar wind gusts. (Mars, which does not have a protective magnetosphere, has lost much of its atmosphere as a result of solar wind erosion.) "

Can you imagine Earth without a magnetosphere = we would surely have no atmosphere, being closer to the sun.

The pseudo intellectuals truly have no idea of the power of the Sun.

Edit:  A hint = the earth's iron core (4,000 - 9,000 degrees) is rotating - helping to create this magnetosphere. The Sun's IMF effects the magma's rotation and that in turn effects plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes and most importantly undersea volcanoes that heat oceans  - which in turn drives the earth's weather as well as releasing CO2 from the earth's largest repository of CO2 = the oceans.

  4. maybe the sun has some internal sickness and will not live out its full life of 300,000,000,000 yrs or so give or take a few weeks it could croak with an all mighty bang at any instant!!

  5. SUVs?  They cause everything else if you believe the global warmiacs, so why not solar variation?

  6. One of the most noted is sun spots. We are in the Suess warming cycle for another 202 years.

Thanks for the question, I discovered something  from it.So yes it is a natural cycle.
