  1. I believe my answers are correct, but if not, i'm sorry.

    1. Fly by wire is a way for pilots to fly the aircraft without any connection to cables. All the inputs are analysed by computer, and the computer then sends messages to the hydraulics telling them what to do. The main advantages of this is this is that it saves weight (from the cables and pulleys thus used before fly by wire), improves reliability, and safety (it won't allow a pilot to stall and over bank). There aren't really disadvantages of this, unless on an airbus where the pilot doesn't really have full control because the computer can override the pilot at any time.

2.The advantage of the semilevered gear allows the 773 to rotate(the point at which the aircraft raises it's nose fr takeoff) earlier on the runway. The 773 is so long, the pilot just can't yank the control column back to get it off the ground (this would produce a tail strike), so, the pilot uses more runway to take off. The gear works by shifting the center of gravity off the main axle to the rear axles, allowinf the nose to raise higher, therefore taking off.

    3. Well, to start of the 777 is alot more fuel efficient than the 744. The 777 was the first 100% computer designed airplane which allowed the plane to be one of the most fuel efficient. The 777 is fly by wire, while the 744 uses conventional means. Other than that, the 777 can't really be judged to the 747 because the 747 is in a class of it's on.

    4. The main difference between the 773 and 772lr is that the 773 is longer by a couple of meters. The 773 was made as an extended version of the 777-200 to fit more passengers. Another big difference between the two is that the 772 lr was made to fly the longest routes in the world (it has the greatest range of any commercial airplane now). The 772 lr has a higher MTOW (maximum takeoff weight) than the 773, and the 772lr has more fuel capacity than the 773.

  2. you can't counteract turbulence with fly by wire. To counteract turbulence a bit you shift the center of gravity of a flight control to the front of it's axis, so if you go fast upwards, the control surface will automatically counteract that tendency. That being said, I think easyjet is right. The only thing I can say about his post is that fly by wire cannot override the pilots on any time. The computer is not there to override pilots instructions, the computer is interpreting control inputs, thus interpreting what the pilot flying wants. It's system can make the flying a bit easier. For example, pilots flying airbus planes do not need to trim their planes, or it doesn't matter wetter they are flying fast or slow, if they are moving their stick a certain amount to the right, their plane will always roll just as fast. Fly by wire can have safety features installed to prevent pilot s***w up. They are meant to help the crew, but lots of pilots (including me) think that airbus installed a ridiculous amount of features, which explains easyjets attacking sentence on fly by wire ;).
