  1. Pastuerization.  Or maybe that was earlier...I dunno,


  2. If you want to do something a bit different why not the NHS (National Health Service)?  

    In the UK this was brought in after the second world war this system of public health service revolutionised the way people are cared for in our hospitals.  It's also been replicated (to varying degrees) across the world.

  3. I say penicillin.  Pretty good for the troops after the discovery, which led to a whole sh*tload of other stuff.  But I've been done with class projects for 7 years now, so I'll let you research that.
