  1. Food consumption- You clear plenty of wildlife area to raise plenty of cattle or other livestock, plus cattle release CH4, a stronger greenhouse gas on a per unit basis than CO2.  Industry farming is worse, given that not only are there the gases, but animal waste can leak into bodies of water, adding to the pollution and possibly host disease-causing organisms.

  2. it's a bogus question.

livestock displace deer, and other animals, which would have emitted a similar amount of greenhouse gases.

that methane and CO2, was grass a while ago, and CO2 some time before that, prior to being incorporated into the grain that they were fed.

the CO2 emitted by cars has not been in our atmosphere for hundreds of millions of years, and it's effect is very different.

it's not the amounts that are in the CO2 - O2 plant / animal cycle.

it's the CO2 that's added, which the plant half of the cycle is unable to accomodate.

  3. Transportation is the second biggest source with electricity production being the biggest and food production being minor compared to those two (though there are improvements that can be had there they mainly derive from GM foods and not big changes to our way of life).

There is also some overlap between transportation and electricity production since a lot of trains and some buses run on electricity and so may have their emissions counted under electricity production although they are a minor part of both categories.

  4. Hot air from environmentalists! Man made global warming is the greatest lie ever thrust upon humanity. Do you realize that during our warming period between 1977 to 1998 the other planets in our solar system have also experienced marked temperature increases as well. All of which experiencing a much higher rate then our earths 1 degree shift. here is a link for more information   http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thre...  That is just 1 example that global warming is a lie, ther are many others, research them. As for for your question, Answer: The SUN! And STOP asking loaded questions!

  5. Transportation, I live in a small town, but even here there are more cars spewing emissions that animal farting.

  6. transportation but I guess it depends on how u raise the livestock

  7. transportation

  8. All fuels produce the same hp. because it is the C that is burned to produce CO2..

The methane is not a problem as U can not find it... It has disappeared ..

  9. in kg of fuel per 100 km.

    aeroplanes

    cars

    buses

    trains

difficult to include livestock as they don't do kg per 100 km. however they are a major contributor in the form of methane, CO2, Nitrous Oxide, plus other breakdown products from feaces and urine. Further contributions are made from slaughter, and manufacture of dairy products for example.

  10. Defiantly transportation.

Take a look around you next time you are driving around a big city on the freeway.  Think of the gas that you are using in your car, then multiply it times the number of vehicles that you can count.  Look at the huge parking lots at the malls, businesses, banks, etc... how many vehicles?  All the trucks and trains that deliver goods and services that we use everyday.  Look at the airport, the number of plains constantly taking off and landing.  Look at the number of houses and businesses, big and small.  They all need lighting, heating, air conditioning, power to run all their automated equipment.

Then just realize you are looking at a very tiny part of the world.  Where does all this fuel come from and go to after it is burnt?

Livestock eat grass, corn, and drink water.  All of these are renewable resources that are good for the environment.  They are a living animal like you and me.  Livestock breath air then exhale carbon dioxide which is totally different than carbon monoxide and co2 that vehicles and factories emit.  Their f***s are full of nitrogen which actually is a great fertilizer for the fields.  However it is best to keep it out of the rivers and lakes as it promotes more weed growth.
