or will they continue this hot streak taking in all factors of the near future with the upcomming return of Wang Povano and Hughes?

2. If any of those 3 come back strong and pitch well will they send Joba back to the bullpen considering how successful he is becomming?

Luck? They're facing three contending teams during this streak!

They swept the Oakland A's, who even without Harden and Blanton, still threw some good pitching at the Yankees and fought till the end.

They swept the Twins, who have one of the best offenses and bullpens in the league.

They've taken 2 from the Red Sox on the road, the team with the best home record which was ahead of them in the wild card and beaten two of their best pitchers in Beckett and Wakefield.

This isn't a fluke. The Yankees pitching is tremendous- their top 3 in the rotation and bullpen rank among the best if not is the best in baseball. Their offense is finally achieving what it should have been all along. They are playing solid defense. They were a great team underachieving, and they have finally put it together.

And with 1 more in Fenway and then 7 more at home, don't look for them to cool off any time soon. They are getting reinforcements off the DL in Bruney, Hughes, Pavano, and Wang down the stretch and possibly Hideki Matsui, and just made a tremendous trade for Nady and Marte.

This team is contending this year, and if Wang can get back healthy, could be a team that can win it all. With a rotation of Wang, Joba, Pettitte, Mussina, their lights out pen, and strong offense, they would be tough for any team to beat in the playoffs.

Its not luck its called pitching they have one because the Starters having given them good Start and Wang he may comeback this year not sure and Pavano the way he has done i cant  guarantee a comeback and Hughes maybe

I have to admit as a Cubs fan, the hottest team is the Brewers. Ryan Braun is a freaking Monster. God, why can't he just leave the NL Central and leave my Cubs alone

it is not luck look at their roster its amazing and i do think they will continue the streak for a while and i dont think they should or will send joba back to the pen because he is a really good starter and to take him out of the pen and put him back in i think would be messing with his arm

I really don't think the Red Sox are all that to be honest, BUT I do think the Yankees current streak is impressive.

Against 3 second place teams (A's were in second at the time) is impressive to me.  This streak is pretty impressive, lets see how long they keep it up.

When they come back, Joba will still be our ace, they will probably put one of those three in the bullpen. Wang will be a starter, Pavano is a huge question mark. And Hughes will probably be in the bullpen
