1 chirp every 30 seconds

I have a Kidde nighthawke model # kn-cosm-ibca smoke and co alarm. It beeps only once a day ...usually 2-3 a.m.!!! I pull the battery and put back in and it seems to work fine for another 24 hrs. Any help please.
