  1. well get your wallet ready.. it's an expensive city, anyway there s an hourly train from malpensa to cadorna rail station wich is located right in the city.

shopping street mhh.. well right in the city u ll go in CORSO VITTORIO EMANUELE AND VIA TORINO(2 roads near the main square PIAZZA DEL DUOMO) and u can also head 2wards CORSO BUENOS AIRES it s a very long street filled up with shops( from cadorna or piazza duomo get underground line RED 2wards sesto san giovanni get of in PORTA VENEZIA from there u can walk along corso buenos aires wich is 2 or 3 km long enjoy it m8!)

what u can do?have look at the dome , the castle ,brera museum , lLeonardo last supper(but i guess u have to book to visit it..), ahh see also La scala operahouse, and San lorenzo basilica(piazza vetra).

    i really can't suggest u any place 2 stay..cause i live here!! ;)

  2. I use Venere.com for finding hotels here in Italy: http://www.venere.com/home/. If you're going to Malpensa, the most convenient places to stay will be near Milano Centrale (there are buses to the airport starting around 4 am) or the Cadorna station (there's a train to the airport). There are links to details for transport to the airport on the Malpensa website: http://www.sea-aeroportimilano.it/en/mal...

For shopping, the upscale places are Via Monte Napoleone and Corso Buenos Aires - worth walking around the area even if you're not buying. Naviglio Grande is a great place to shop that may be more what you're looking for:  http://www.milanostyle.com/php/article.p...

For sightseeing: visit the duomo, unless you really have a problem with heights, go up on the roof - it's spectacular. La Scala has a small, interesting museum. There are also shops around this area. Castello Sforzesca is also nearby and has some museums. If you can get a reservation, you can go see the Last Supper.
