i have a qwest dsl modem that i want to share my internet with my x box with and they are right next to each other. so my question is, is their a cheap solution? The dsl modem has 1 ethernet port but my x box and computer both use ethernet. I could switch to usb on the computer for internet but i do not have the driver disc for it and i dont know how to use usb for internet on my x box.

  1. A cheap small router is what you need.  Click the link below for a great priced device.

  2. just get a router.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

look around there are cheaper ones if your in a money pinch

  3. The best solution would be to buy a router.

Make sure to note the difference between a router and a hub.  Hubs are cheaper but they are also slower and some ISPs charge extra if you use a hub (because they need to give you 2 IP addresses).  Routers are the better way to go.

  4. i had same problem as you, all i did was find the drivers for my usb on modem (which sucked took me a long time to find them) then connected comp through usb.

pluged my xbox into the ethernet port on my computer

went to network connections on computer

select both usb connection and ethernet

right click and select bridge connections

you will have to have computer on in order to get internet on xbox
