2. A piece of aluminum foil is a flattened cube. The equation for the volume of the cube is V= l x w x h

where v is the volume, L is the length, w is the width, and h is the height. Rearrange the problem to solve for h.

  1. 1. Slope is rise/ run (change in y over change in x).  It tells you how steep the line is.  For more detail, see:

    2) V = lwh

    At the moment h is multiplied by l and w.  To get it on its own, divide both sides by lw

    V/ lw = lwh/ lw

    V

    --- = h

    lw

  3. 1. subtract the x-coordinate of one point from the other, and same with the y.  then put the difference of y over the difference of x.
