You should be asking how much money other countries owe us- right now it's about $40 billion.

The UK just paid us back for their WWII loan last year.

last time i seen the report on cnn. It was $340 billion to china, $640 billion to Japan, and a few others.  But these are the only two i can recall.  If the U.S. decides not to pay, lets put it this way, it wouldnt be in our best interest

Let the other countries pay us what they owe from WW2, etc and then we will pay them what we owe them and start from a clean slate.

II seeing as we owe not only China but many other countries, I think they would gang up on us and threaten to nuke us if we dont turn our money machines on high.
