Question:

1 ohm or 4 ohm?

Would it be better to run the SX1250.1 at 1 ohm minimum impedance or get 2 SX650.1”s and strap them together and run it 4 ohm minimum impedance? I am pushing a 15” L7 DVC 2 ohm sub.

  1. kicker amps are not stable at 1ohm so it would run hot as he** and the sound quality would suck

    1ohm setups are cheaper to power (if you can find a 1ohm stable CEA-compliant amp- Fosgate makes them) but the sound quality is not as good, the higher the final impedance (ohms) the higher the sound quality
