  1.   (1/4) + (-3/4)  =   (1-3)/4 = -2/4 = -1/2

      Negative one half.

  2. ok lets put it like this: 1/4  +  -3/4

Since they both have the same denominator,  it's okay for you to add the two together with out changing it to equivalent fractions.

    So 1 + -3 = -2

So it equals to -2/4 or -1/2

  3. 1/4 + -3/4 =

    -2/4 =

    -0.50

    or -1/2

    In decimal terms:

    0.25 + -0.75 =

    -0.50 or

    -1/2.

  4. I think it is -1.

    because 1/4 plus 3/4 equals 4/4 which is 1.

and 3/4 being the bigger number would mean that you

    keep the sign.

  5. 1/4-3/4=-2/4 or -1/2.

  6. 1/4 + (-3)/4 (when fractions have the same denominators, simply add the numerators together)

    -2/4 (simplify)

    -1/2 <===ANSWER

  7. it equals negative two over four, which in simplest forms is negative one over two

  8. 1/4 + -3/4 = -2/4

    -2/4 = -1/2

    -1/2          <-------- answer
