  1. u think so good? u might as well say tell them go spent go get michael phelps to be a citizen of singapore then he wins 8 gold medals he straight away retire liao

  2. i wish... maybe a week! hahaa in my dreams.. yeah make it a friday or monday!

  3. I think if any bigwigs does manage to get a public holiday approved because we won a SILVER?! medal in the Olympics, we will be the laughing stock of the sporting world.

Firstly, we did not even get a gold medal to begin with. Athletes who win gold medals for their countries do get a hero's welcome when they return home but to a public holiday?! How many public holidays do you want China to approve then? (Note - They have 36 gold medals as I am writing this.)

Secondly, they are not even true Singaporeans to begin with, born and bred in Singapore. Yes, they are competing under the Singapore flag now but once they retire, do you think they will continue staying in Singapore and contribute to our nation? We have given citizenships to numerous athletes only to have them return back to their motherland when they decided to call it a day. On what basis do we approve a public holiday to people who are Singapore citizens now but may not be one in future? I even have doubts whether the 'Singapore' athletes were actually singing March of the Volunteers in their hearts last night.

  4. If we get Gold maybe.....Silver not good enough....

Moreover it's from a team that origin from China,

and China still keep their gold in pocket, this show that

if we cannot buy the best from them, might as well

don't buy at all, what for waste effort and time when

we knew for sure we will always end up behind their back...

in fact most of the time even end up with nothing at all!

  5. Chinese nations go back to their own country(China), Singaporean are not Born in China.

  6. Definitely no

  7. 1 public holiday? wohoooooooooooooo!! make it a long weekend... that's for 'china-born' talents.

If it's a Singapore born talent, we'll get 3 days public holidays?

  8. That is one question only PM Lee can answer....

  9. Unless MM or PM was the ones who won the silver medal...
