1 to 10 Quietness in a horse?

I think one is the quietest and 10 is the craziness thingy ect. Can anyone correct me on that, because in many horse advertisments there are scores of quietness but im sure 1 is the most quiet and 10 is the least quiet

I think i need to invent a horse i pod...so i can play her calming music right in her brain...to bring some sanity into the situation

1 = calm,, beginner horse

10 = free spirited and very crazy

You're right in that 1 is quietest and 10 least quiet.  But if you are horse shopping, I would advise you to take those ratings with a grain of salt.  I think sellers will tend to underrate their sale horse to attract a larger buying audience.  You'll notice it's very rare for anyone to choose a number higher than 5.  And of course, it's all subjective too--it's not like there is some measuring stick everyone can go by.  What one person might call a "2" could be more like a "5" to you!

Your correct, generally its how bombproof a horses is, 1 being totally bombproof and 10 being HOT

The way you said it is generally the way people expect - with one being drop dead quiet and 10 being a maniac.

But this can vary from site to site, so I would look at the criteria carefully before buying or posting an ad.  I have seen places that turn it backwards and make 1 a maniac and 10 asleep!

I think thats correct just check on the add and their should be a meter saying 1 (dead quiet) 10 (HOT)
