  2. 1)Most are between 10 to 300 nm. Some are larger.

    2)Life Cycle:

Attachment: attaching to the host cell

    Penetration: injecting viron into host

Uncoating: removal of viral protein sheath

Replication: virus takes over host and replicates using    host’s enzymes

Assembly: new viruses are packaged in host

Release: virus particles are releases-this may or may not involve lysis of host cell

    3) Viruses are NOT prokaryotes. Prokaryotes are free living cells. Viruses are not free living.
