Your choice of funds may also depend on your risk profile. Are you able to take higher risks in order to get higher returns. Or, you may want to see your capital preserved at all costs, with decent returns. Or, you might be able to take slightly higher risks to get more returns. Funds are rated according to the risks taken vs the returns generated. Do the returns justify the kind of risks taken by the fund manager?? etc. etc.

There is no "best" mutual fund investment

Investments are recommended after a detailed study of the investor, their current status as relating to marital, financial and age, also their life styles, and most importantly their risk tolerance.  To make any definite investment recommendation without knowing the aforementioned would not be ethical for someone in the investment business.
