Well I am a Junior and i tried out last try outs, but i had to quit. the coaches always play me in practice games on the D/O line and would never wants me to rest, while they let the others, anyways, i know i can make the team but i really want it to carry on to college.

So is 1 season of highschool football enough just to play for a decent college? If so, how hard would i have to work for it and what colleges?

Oh and my position would be Defensive End or Offensive Linemen

  1. No.

Under different circumstances, you might go to a JC or Div 3 school and do ok with a years experience.

    But you quit.

    Whatever your reasons were.

In college you have to work VERY hard to play...

you have to work even harder to keep your grades up...

not to mention going to work to make money...

and sometimes you don't get the position you wanted

at other times you'll be the tackle dummy for a year

If you don't have what it takes to stick it out in High School; I would NOT recommend you waste anyone's time in college.

Sorry if this is too blunt to hear...but I played 5 years of college and coached it for almost as long.

If want a chance to play in college - get back to practice, go both ways, play all the time, be tired, be sore, and pay those dues first.

  2. Probably not to play for big time school.  A smaller school may bring you on or you'll have to play JuCo.

  3. Two words:   Walk on

  4. you will most likely have to play at a junior college. and then prove yourself. then maybe, just maybe you can play for a 4 year college. good luck, son!
