My daughter was bitten at the weekend and it seems as though the red mark has now developed into a boil ... we live in Scotland so there aren't any dangerous insects to my knowledge. Am going to take her to the doctor tomorrow. Anyone else have this happen? She seems fine otherwise, isnt sick or acting differently...

  1. This has happened to my 16 month old grandson a few times as well.  It's a shame he reacts badly to bites like that because he does like to be outdoors a lot.  We always carry round a bottle of infant Piriton just in case.

  2. my son swells up and blisters when bit by mosquitos, his breathing is fine so i figure hes fine...??

  3. Some kids are just allergic to certain bugs even if they aren't poisonous. My niece is so allergic to mosquitoes that if she's bitten she gets a huge welt the size of my hand surrounding the bite. Thats sort of an extreme version but certain people are just more sensitive to bug bites than others.

She also could have scratched it at some point and the bite is infected?

Its probably nothing serious but best to figure out what it is and how best  to treat it so she doesn't get any scars or strange reactions in the future:)

  4. Maybe she has sensitive skin?  If she isnt sick I wouldn;t worry too much though

  5. yes take her to a Doctor asap. it may just be like a tiny non-poisonous bug bite, but it could also be serious. she may be having an allergic reation to like a plant or shampoo, or soap. hope i helped and good luck!!^^

  6. Hiya s****. :)

Take her to the docs first thing tomorrow. We don't have and dangerous bugs (well not dangerous, but highly infectious) around, but they do get transported in, in fruit vans.

Best to get it checked :)
