1 year old cat never been in season/heat??

Why has my ! year old cat never come into season? i just find this very odd? She will be one in October.

Any stories/advice?

Cats have silent seasons, the only way you will know if she is in season is if she smells a tom and starts howling.

It makes no difference if a cat has never had a season or if it is in season when it comes to neutering, get her spayed ASAP.

The estrus cycle differs with every single cat. It can come very early in life or late, just like when humans bloom differently. But i would get her spayed before her first estrus cycle. If you wait, her mammory glands will grow and when she actually gets it spayed, there is alot more bleeding and inflammation compared to a spay before her first heat.

its not unusual for her to not have come in to season yet, but i strongly suggest you have her spayed before she does!

dont wait for her to go into heat just go ahead and have her spayed...my cat never did go into heat and I had her spayed at 11months before she had her first heat...by the way the longer you wait to have her spayed the more chance you risk of her getting Pyometra, which is a very deadly disease that un-spayed females get very often and will die if not spayed
