What is your routine in feeding your baby? What types of foods at what times? Snacks, juice, other? I have my own routine. I was just curious as to what other parents are doing? Some new idea for snacks and dinner would be great! Thanks.

  1. no way let them eat what they want!

  2. Well my daughter is four now but when she was one years old I basically listened to her pediatrician on what she should have from what she shouldn't have. Juice is unnecessary but if you would like to incorporate juice into your child's diet it should be diluted, 100 percent juice and/or homemade or Beech nut brand etc. Juice can cause tooth decay and is empty calories.  For Breakfast she ate either 1 egg scrambles and Stonybrook Farms (Baby) Yogurt and it also had DHA or the Baby Cereal spoon feed with milk. The Baby cereal comes in all different flavors and mixed babies like it. For lunch I gave my daughter baby food (I was into the Gerber Organics) it was generally rice and chicken and then baby dessert. For a snack homemade or store brought apple sauce, finger foods (Gerber and Beech Nut have a huge variety of finger foods and there nutritious.) And for dinner sometimes my grandmother would make homemade mashed pototes or yams or baby food it all depends on you..

  3. My children eat 3 meals a day + healthy snacks

    Breakfast - Oatmeal, banana, milk

Lunch - Grilled Chz sandwich, carrot sticks, grapes, juice/h2o

    Snack - Graham crackers, juice/h2o

Supper -Whatever we eat for supper they eat, milk

    Snack - chocolate milk, fruit

  4. yeah never put a 1 year old on a diet. Unless he/she is very very very very over weight. If you put them on a diet now you wont be able to control it later. So yeah don't put the baby on a diet. Just let him eat whatever because there is going to come a point where you wish they would just eat something, anything. Their bosy is still developing so no need to cinstrict it to the woes of dieting just yet

  5. my 1yr old has a weird diet and routine. the routine is when he tells me he is hungry by saying "bite" as far as diet. he eats cereal, grits, or eggs in the morning. and for lunch he likes micro ravioli or grilled chesse sandwiches he really doesn't eat lunch.and for dinner he eats what we eat if he can. snacks are grahmcrakers, goldfish snacks, and and those fruit cups with juice or water. but right now he is going through a thing in which he doesn't want to eat anything.

  6. At one year old, my daughter's routine was:

    7:30- cereal & milk

    9:30-10:00- juice, maybe fruit snacks

12:00 lunch. Varied- gerber jar food

    2:00-milk

    4:00-snack

    6:00-supper

    8:00-milk

Now, it's been awhile, but that was a pretty average schedule. My daughter LOVES veggies so once your child can handle eating baby carrots & harder finger-foods, go for it. And one rule of thumb, if you don't like it, doesn't mean your child won't. (And vice-versa!)
