every time we make love I start to spot, usually a day or 2 later. It's not an infection, just went to the dr's last week. He is rather large and I used to spot once in a great while before, but he's so gentle now... Could this hurt the baby?? Should we not do this any more?

Thanks!

  1. Your cervix becomes engorged with capillaries and can bruise quite easily.  Spotting after s*x, or a cervical exam, is really common in pregnancy. It won't hurt the baby.

  2. I have the same problem.  It will not hurt the baby, especially during the 2nd trimester.  But we stop at the 3rd trimester because i will worry so much!

  3. the same thing happened to me & my husband

but it wasnt really spotting it was more discharging

and it only happened after intercourse

if its like a gobb or constantly then ask your doc.

    but besides your ok

    congrats

  4. very normal. most women spot after a cervical exam or s*x while being pregnant. It won't hurt the baby. Intil your doctor tells you to stop having s*x, you and the baby are fine!
