What are at least 10 free ways i can make vista better or faster without disabling the sidebar. I have an HP laptop dv2000.

  1. Disable Superfetch.

    Disable all the useless startup items using either: autoruns (a tiny programme you can download) or by going into the settings.

    Disable windows firewall/defender (have your own antivirus/firewall/antispy.

    Turn off the desktop icons and use a docklauncher like Stardock.

    Defrag regularly.

    Set the updates to manual.

  2. The only one you need to use would be to DUMP Vista and get a Mac.
