i have cornmeal but no flour what can i make?

also is enriched cornmeal the same as degerminated cornmeal?

  3. you can use cornmeal as a catfish batter.

  5. if you have water then you have all you need for polenta. bring 900ml water to boil in a heavy based sauce pan, add 150g cornmeal and cook over low heat for a bout 30 minutes until smooth and thick.

    you can stir in salt, butter, black pepper, parmesan or whatever spices or cheeses you like.

    you can either eat is as it is or you can pour it out on a flat surface, spread it evenly (with wet fingers) and let it cool and set. make slices and grill or fry them.

    great side for many dishes!

Coat fish like talapia, catfish, rock fish. . season with garlic powder, pepper, salt and dried parsley flakes.  Dip fish in an egg wash and then in the cornmeal, fry.  Crunchy baked fries, slice baking potatoes into wedges, coat in buttermilk and dip in cornmeal.  Bake at 400 for 45 minutes.
