10 Pointer : Garden Pest problem.. 'silky bug'

I have this parasite leeching everywhere on a tree of mine... it has a brown leaf-like wrapping... beneath it is a slimy bug covered in silk...

what can i do...

  1. -Spray it off with a hose

    -Pick it off by hand

    -Use pesticide (not suggested)

    -Put bird feeders there because bluejays/robins/sparows like to eat silkworms


  2. Get a shop-vac and suck the thing off. Then put the bugs that you vacume off into soapy water. I don't like to use chemicals. So that is what I do.  

  3. Spray with dishwashing soap that is diluted with water. It won't hurt anything and bugs hate it.

  4. Set fire to the tree
