So I'm 10 days late for my period. This entire week I've been constipated, sore nipples, kind of nauseas at random times, and now I have started getting this very thick sticky white almost sorta chunky discharge(Sorry that was so descriptive...it is not a yeast infection). I tested on Thursday which would have made me 7 days late at the time and got a negative, but it is Sunday and I have yet to start.

The last time I was pregnant I got an immediate positive, but I ended up miscarrying like a week later. I don't really know what's going on this time, but I'm scared I could be pregnant and if so I want to get to the doctor asap to make sure everything is alright and get on vitamins. Last time I used one of those digital tests and this time I used one from the dollar tree. Maybe it's not picking up because it is a cheaper test? Does it sound like I might be pregnant? I'm not even sure of what I want to know I'm just sorta freaking out a little bit here. Please give me any thoughts. :) Thanks!

  1. i had around the same symptoms and was 14 days late. i took a test and it said negative. I eventually started and realized that a lot of the symptoms were in my head! They went away after i started!

  2. I don't think the brand of the test has anything to do with it. I used a dollar store test after being 8 days late and got a very clear positive! You should see a dr to make sure everything is okay! Good luck.

  3. Hello, Pregnancy tests work on reading elevated hCG hormones. You could perhaps be pregnant but with a low hCG level. A blood test would better determine. Otherwise sometimes it takes some women longer to increase this hormone level. I always knew i was pregnant before i did a test and all 3 times got a negative, did another test in 2 weeks time and all 3 times i was pregnant! So either you are not pregnant, or you are and you have low hormone levels at the moment.

  4. Yeah, It does sound like it.

I'd get a better test, and if there's still a neg, and no period, try a blood test.

I'd say your pregnant &it's just a dodgy test.

  5. I'd go out and get a First Response Pregnancy test.

I've heard bad things about the digital. Alot of false negatives. The benefit of having the urine dipstick is that you could see a very faint line if it was there.

Dollar tree ones may be old and not as sensitive to the hormone.

Sometimes you are pregnant and the urine test won't pick it up until later on.  If you test again with a good brand pregnancy test and still come up negative then call your doctor. they can order the blood test and remove all doubt.

    Good luck
