  1. He would have to contact your ISP, and they won't give it to him unless he's the police. They don't give that info out to just anyone.

  2. Everyone already knows it's 10 points for best answer. You don't need to advertise it. I won't report you this time.

  3. They could get a general idea about the state and maybe the town but no specifics.  They would have to be the police to get that info from your internet service provider

  4. yes..

  5. no

  6. Unless said person has access to your ISP's databases, then probably not. There are geo-locating tools, such as http://whatismyipaddress.com/staticpages... , but when I tried it it put me in the middle of a cornfield, so it's not that accurate - lol.

  7. If you happen to have your address stored on a file in your computer and that person happens to be a very skilled hacker then yes, they could hack into your computer, find that file, and then track you down. That's pretty unlikely, though. Unless you have the file labelled something really obvious like "MyHomeAdress.txt" then chances are slim anyone would find it (although I don't know why you would have a file like that in the first place). Nobody can find out your address just from knowing your IP address, though. Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) would have that information, but they don't give it out to anyone unless you committed some kind of crime online and need to be tracked down, and even then only to the government and the police.

  8. yes and no.

The public can track your CITY and ISP (internet service provider) but unless they have a court order they couldn't track your actual home address.
