Having a mobile phone is handy to keep in touch with long distance family or friends. Mobiles can also be for entertainment as many come with games and/or internet. And also when you are bored you can text a friend-many phone networks provide you with anythine from 300 to 1500 free texts a month.

This is easy talk about stealing candy from a baby LOL.  Ok joking aside, serious positive points of mobile/cell phones are disabled people can keep in contact easier with worried parents at any age.  Women can keep in contact with family better when out alone.  Disabled and women can call for help better after a car crash or break down.  There are quite a few that escape me for now.
