10 mile run..?

i'm running 10 miles tomorrow, what do i do to prepare for it?

  1. stretch drink alot of water eat some fruits and whole grains.

  3. drink a lot of water tonight (not too much) and get enough sleep. be sure to have a high-protein breakfast. (but not too much food)

  4. jump in a hot shower it will relax ur muscles and RiGHTafter da shower strech!

    just strech and get  a good nights sleep!

  5. eat carbs a few hours prior....to load up

    pace yourself

    and dont push yourself too hard if you feel uncomfortable.

  6. Sleep, eat small high carb dinner. Don't eat protein. NO BEEF.

    Hydration is very important, drink lots of water.

    Eat light breakfast. Maybe wheat bread with jelly or honey.

    Stretch 20 min before the race. And 5-10 min warm up jog.

    Hopefully you took it easy today and ran 30 min easy.

    drink lots of water to make sure your body is adequetly hydrated, bc if you drink water the day of the run its too late.  

    eat really healthy too, like fruits and veggies and stuff.  avoid meat! it will slow you down bc it takes really long to digest!

    and for dinner tonight you might want to eat a good carb meal, like a speggetti dinner with veggies?? the carbohydrates in the pasta will be broken down in glucose (sugar) and then stored.  so, that way you will have that extra energy tommorow! thats what some athletes do, they eat pasta the night before there event.  and also, if you eat vegtables with it, youll get all these nutrients!!!

    for dessert, if your hungry, eat an apple.

    and get lots of sleep tonight, you need to most energy you can get!

    stretch a good stretch before you run as well!

  10. stretch and do plyometrics. also ice and heat any body parts that are sore. Also drink lots of water and get lots of sleep.

  11. Hydrate well tonight and sleep. Tomorrow protein and simple carbs for breakfast (peanut butter and honey on wheat bread is great), coffee if you usually drink it, stretch well before running and bring water on your run.

  12. water tonight, be hydrated.  Light breakfast 30 minutes before like a banana.
