She used to have a bit reflux, but when starting solid, the reflux completely gone, the only think that make her spit up is the formula.

So she wean her self from formula.

She almost eat like adult (table food). What should I give her to replace the formula?

She doesn't like milk or soy too.

She can everything (solid food) without being sick.

Is there any multivitamin to substitute the formula?

I know she still need calcium.

  1. you might have to try another type of formula. Kids can be so picky.  Try the powered one, try the premixed ones and you can try different brands.

My son was fine with the powered but I had friend and her baby would drink nothing but the pre mixed ones.

10 months should be fine for regular milk if you want to try just becareful how much you give her.  My son was doing so many things before he was supposed to ad he's still alive.

  2. You should ask her pediatrician what he's going to recommend for 'milk' once she's one year old and just start that now.  She may have a lactose intolerance, so there may be some 'lactaid' type products that she will be able to eat that will give her the proper nutrients.  Even though she's 2 months shy, the doc may suggest starting now if formula makes her spit up....maybe even a formula substitute.  There are many other places she can get calcium too, but tough to get babies that young to eat some of those things.  You really should speak with the pediatrician at a special appointment specifically about this.

  3. You can get calcium from cheese, yogurt, and leafy green veggies (spinach, broccoli). Just give her some of that and she should be fine. You can't give a baby milk before age 1 (or at least that's what the pediactrician said about Lola).

  4. I have the same issue with my 8 month. I think it's normal not to like the flavor when they're at this age. What i did is, i mix it in the blender with a little piece of fruit such as papaya, strawberry,banana...etc. He now LOVES his formula. I don't give it t him all the time, but i do mix it twice a day.

People will say they should be used to drink plain milk.... why? formula is the most important thing during the first year, so the important thing is for them to drink it....no matter how. Plus this is a natural way of doing it, no sugar, no nesquick...only fresh natural fruit. Good luck.

  5. A lot of vegetables have calcium in it. You could get the baby spinach, spinach is a rich source of calcium. As well as green beans, broccoli, carrots and okra.

  6. give her like soft things for her like banana or mashed potatoes something she can eat.

  7. My daughter had a bit of reflux when she was an infant. I stirred into her formula, including so formule, a very little infant apple sauce and infant cereal.  It helped with the flavor of formula.  I also started to mix in regular milk.

  8. Try the varieties of milk out there - Rice, Almond, Soy, Goat.  Be sure to talk to your pediatrician as well regarding this, to make sure you get all the required vitamins and fatty acids into baby's diet!

  9. Well maybe she is sick and tired of formula. Looks like she's ready for some solid food for good.

  10. Let it do what it does... Give it soy milk....so good in a bottle or some regular milk.

  11. Contact her pediatrician on Monday.

NO MILK before one year of age.

Also, all kids go through "strikes" -- either breastmilk or bottle.  So remember this is normal, and she is smart...she won't let herself starve.  Just give her the food you normally would, plus a bit more.

  12. I would give her American Cheese with meals.  I usually cut it up in bite size pieces and she picks at it when I feed her.  Also, YoBaby Yogurt is a good alternative if she is not drinking formula.  It is good for her digestive system and provides her with a good amount of calcium.  I know some say you shouldn't give her milk but my pediatrician reccomended it around 11 months and said I could give her yogurt at 6 months.  The Yobaby yogurt has 2 flavor packs that include the DHA and ARA found in formula.  My daughter loves the strawberry-banana/raspberry-pear mix, but they also have mixed berry/apple.  So try those things and if all else fails be sure to giver her water so that she won't dehyrate and call you pediatrician if your concerned.  Hope this helps!!

  13. I would ask her pediatrician. Some books say close to a year old is when you should begin to wean off of formula and start whole milk because they will be eating more foods. They say to also being gradually adding milk to the formula so their tummy gets used to it slowly. Like add 2 ounces of milk to 6 ounces of formula, see how she tolerates it for a couple of days then add more milk and use less formula over time until it's all milk. But, that was 5 years ago and things change over time. But, I would ask her doctor what else you could try that would meet her nutritional needs.

  14. Start giving her milk. start out with 7 ounces formula and 1 ounce of milk. And every two weeks increase the milk 1 ounce more decrease formula 1 ounce more. Intill she is tottally on milk.

  15. Put in an IV line

  16. add the formula into the food and mix it up so she won't notice it

  17. this is referring to TLB's comment... NO MILK???

Please! you can put your child on whole milk at the age of 7 months, as long as you get these multivitamin drops that you just put in the milk before you give it to them!!! do you go to the health department for all your answers?? bc those women will criticize everything you do with your child!!!

if she doesnt like milk, then dont give it to her!! give her juice. mix it with pedialite... and give her solids and baby solids.. those are the ones that have the vitamins that babies need!! dont let anybody on here scare you!!!! your baby is just fine!!!!!

  18. give her milk instead
