I have a ten month old daughter weighing in at 17 and odd pounds..I know she is small...but i cant get her to eat anything...at the most with lots of struggling i can get her to drink 16 to 18 oz of milk daily and she doesnt eat anything..i have to struggle so much for her to eat couple of teaspoons of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner...its a 24*7 struggle for me everyday with her feeding either if its bottle or solids...

if i feed her solids then she doesnt even drink 10 oz of milk a day..if i concentrate on making her stay hydrated then i can get her to drink at the most of 18 to 20 oz which is very rare...

i have tried feeding her all types of foods...she like to eat squash, mixed veggies, apples and bluberries, banana only..other than that if i offer her anything she forces herself to throw out..

please help me...iam worried a lot about her nutrition ..she should be getting more from solids but she is not intrested in taking any..i have asked my doctor and she said keep feeding her whenever possible,,,also she likes to eat honey nut cheerios...do they have any effect on her ..she is almost 11 months ..so is it ok for her to have cheerios which are honey coated

  1. if she likes to eat squash, veggies, apples, blueberries, bananas and cheerios then let her eat them all that she wants.  About once a week try to add another food that you think she might like.  If she does not want to take it then do not try it again. Just let her eat what she wants.  Try again the next week with a different food.  It is fine to feed her what she wants as long as she eats something.

  2. some babys are just smaller if her doc isnt concerned you shouldnt be but keep tying the foods over and over some babys will hate it the first 9 times and love it the 10th

  3. i know the feeling. my daughter was the same way.  youll find out that as they start growing their appitite is a little funny. they will go to hardly eating to eating all the time during growth spurts. if you really are worried take her to the doctor.otherwise make sure she stays hydrated, and eats at least a little solid food a day.  they have infant- toddler vitamins also that are safe. something of which i had to give my daughter at one point in time. they sell them at any cvs, walgreens, ect. good luck hun. i know this is frustrating.
